Posted October 15, 200717 yr comment_5422818 Jim Ross is with Magnum & II at Bill Watts’ house where they are having another workout session. Mr. Wrestling II vs. Hacksaw Higgins (12/7/83) Squash. Hacksaw Duggan vs. Krusher Darsow (12/7/83) Volkoff is with Darsow at ringside and Jerry Lawler is on commentary with Ross for the first time ever. The war is on at the bell and this is just a slugfest. Duggan has a great jumping mongolian chop. Duggan hit a running tackle on Darsow which sent the referee to the floor then hit the spear. Volkoff would come into the ring and would pin Duggan to get the win because the ref was so dazed. Magnum TA & Pee Wee Anderson then showed up and told the referee what happened who awarded the match to Duggan. Duggan & Magnum then brawled with the Russians before Reed showed up and was posted by Magnum. Neidhart runs out and it’s 4-on-2 until II, Poffo, Rood, & Iceman shows up. The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) vs. Mike Jackson & Koko Ware (12/7/83) What a great team too bad this didn’t go 20 minutes. Cornette does commentary with Ross for the first time and is awesome. Koko does get some offense in. Terry Taylor’s debut video airs. Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart & “Hacksaw” Butch Reed vs. Iceman King Parsons & “Leaping” Lanny Poffo (12/7/83) Lawler is once again on commentary with Ross and it’s funny hearing him put Poffo over. Iceman was great here throwing his wild punches. Reed would post Iceman on the floor busting him open but Poffo would fight on and would keep the advantage on both men for a while. Poffo would succumb though and the champs would take turns beating on him before Iceman would come back bandaged up and cleaned house. This was fun stuff. Another training video with II & Magnum with II demonstrating the kneelift. They JIP the cage match with II/Magnum vs. Neidhart/Reed for the tag titles. There are interviews after the match with the teams and the seeds are planted for the Neidhart/Reed breakup and of course after an argument there was a brawl between them. They JIP a match with Duggan/Darsow from the same show.
December 13, 200717 yr comment_5425164 Neidhart/Reed v. Poffo/Iceman was really long, and it was weird to listen to Ross + Lawler commentary, too bad it sucked.
