Posted October 17, 200718 yr comment_5422860 Maybe I was wrong about DiBiase as a technician. The counters here were awesome, I especially loved the spinning toe hold reversal DiBiase used. Roop was great as usual, and I loved how they went from brawling to mat work back to brawling. I think this a selection for sure.
October 17, 200718 yr comment_5422876 Good to see you coming around on DiBiase. I had this on the border originally so again I'm down for this.
October 17, 200718 yr comment_5422880 Ted DiBiase vs. Bob Roop (4/28/82) This is a non-title match but DiBiase is looking for revenge on Roop for beating him for the North American title. This was a very good wrestling match as both men traded holds with some great reversals and counters. DiBiase threw some great punches in this. I always loved the matches with DiBiase/Roop/Orndorff because it always centered around the figure-four but this one had a different finish as DiBiase won with his powerslam. DiBiase then used Roop’s own shoulderbreaker on him after the match and counted 3 himself. I really liked this a lot.
November 12, 200718 yr comment_5423871 I thought this was a really neat match. The match gave you a lot of different things. It had mat wrestling, peppered in some brawling, clean finish, and a post match. I loved how Ted worked Roop's arm. His work on it was tremendous. Not to be out done Ropp's work on Ted's leg was great as well. A couple of spots that I loved was Roop's attempted Irish-Whip from the corner that Dibiase countered by holding on and taking Roop down to the mat with a modified wristlock/ arm bar. Another spot I loved was how Roop used a dead leg on Dibiase to gain the upper hand and began working Ted's leg was pretty niffty. This just an excellent T.V match.
November 12, 200718 yr Author comment_5423872 I really think this should go in the for sure pile, Kris seems on board and I thought this was pretty excellent. I know Tomk liked it a bunch too.
