This was another hidden gem from a TV taping that I found more compelling that your average high-quality Fantastics match from a house show. The challengers were monsters who did some nice athletic moves. Again, One Man Gang was pretty darn quick and mobile at this point, and lots of fun to see. Killer Khan's shreiks were nice as well. The finish was jaw-dropping with JYD labored but authoritative lift of the Gang before the thump. Mr. Olympia was very solid as well. I think the set of 150 matches will be a lot more enjoyable if we can include exciting matches like this one.

Here is what I wrote originally.

Mid-South Tag Titles: Junkyard Dog & Mr. Olympia © vs. Killer Khan & One Man Gang (9/15/82)

JYD buried both Khan & Gang last week so let’s see what happens here. They actually got heat on JYD here but he backdropped Gang as he tried to piledrive him before getting the hot tag to Olympia. The heels then start working on Olympia but Khan misses his kneedrop off the second rope and JYD comes back in as a house of fire with punches and headbutts. JYD hit the big Thump on Gang again to retain their titles. This was a pretty fun match.

I thought that it just missed being considered a nom on my end but I wouldn't have a problem if it was put on the block.
