Posted June 14, 20232 yr comment_6005670 Axel Tischer defends the wXw Unified World Wrestling Title Just watched this match posted on the wXw YouTube channel a few years ago. Hadn't seen much of Tischer pre-SAnitY so it was nice to have a little dive into his body of work prior. The match takes a while to pace itself a bit and it seems to happen once Eddie Edwards decides to work the match heel with the crowd obviously pro-Tischer. My favorite sequence in the match happens about midway when Edwards desperately tries to hit the Backpack Stunner on Tischer but on the 2 first occasions, Tischer locks in a rear naked choke on Edwards. Finally on the 3rd attempt, Edwards is able to hit it. Other nice sequence towards the end with Edwards sneaking in several machine gun chops to Tischer while Tischer does the same with those rapid fire head kicks with both trading momentum towards the very end. Tischer gets the win with his Sitout Powerbomb at the end but a really enjoyable match overall.
