I mean, we've got both Nasty Boys listed, but not arguably the best tag team in WWF/E history. To survive over 13yrs in a company that is notoriously not a tag team territory, never breaking up, constantly staying fresh to the point that they're arguably the most over they've ever been, is an incredible achievement. Work superbly as a face team or a heel team, a ton of great matches, and there's still potential for either to have a solo run if needed. Jey has already had a well-received main event slot against Roman Reigns, he could well get there again. There are other nominees who are arguably mainly tag guys, but the Usos are better than most, if not all of them.

MATCHES

vs The Wyatt Family (Money In The Bank 2014)

vs The New Day (Hell In A Cell 2017)

vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Wrestlemania 2023)

The next 2.5 years are going to be very interesting for the candidacy of Jey Uso (and to maybe a lesser extent Jimmy), as it feels like he's getting a significant singles run, which should add extra meat to his resume. I think it's harder to get an overall picture of wrestlers who are almost exclusively tag guys, and I think that's even more true for the Usos, who for the longest time didn't really have individual identities, not helped by them being incredibly hard to tell apart. The work is there, a great and varied tag run as both face and heels, and I'd vote them extremely high on a tag ballot. If Jey can show his worth as a singles guy, I could see him making my list.

Been a wild 18 months for Jey Uso since his nomination. I don't think anyone would have foreseen him get so over, win the Royal Rumble and win the World title at Mania. Sadly, I don't think the increase in profile has done anything to help his chances of making many top 100's. He now feels like less of a contender than he did as just a tag guy. The Mania match with Jimmy was a major strike against him, and though he's had some fun stuff with Gunther and Bron, there's been nothing that suggests he's going to make my list.

Honestly, the Usos might be one of the greatest tag teams ever, and he is crazy over and an insane merch mover, but I just don't think there are a lot of high-end singles matches to justify his inclusion on a list of this kind. He's not *bad*, and has had fun stuff, but I don't think it's enough to rank him.

Is there a case to be made for The Usos on the back of the New Day feud? Maybe some Wyatt action? What other standouts?

Yeah, the Harper/Rowan matches are awesome. I also LOVE the TLC between New Day, Lucha Dragons and them, genuine motyc. They shine as a tag team as late as early 2023 with the Mania "main event" with KO and Sami.

Both Usos really got exposed as limited as singles acts. Jey showed himself to have more personality, but he's largely unimpressive in-ring as a singles act. He was lacklustre against Gunther, which should've been where he rose to the occasion. Instead he was a bit of a dud and ultimately unconvincing which is more criminal as anything. If the Usos are to be measured in any way and ranked at all, for me personally, it'll largely be on their excellent team work which I enjoy greatly. But am I going to knock someone off for the sake of Jey Uso? Probably not. Honourable mention perhaps.
