Posted November 5, 200717 yr comment_5423483 They JIP a match between David Peterson/Gustavo Mendoza from Tulsa. They show an MX squash from World Wide Wrestling. North American Heavyweight Title: Dick Murdoch © vs. Al Perez (10/11/85) This is from Houston with Murdoch just starting his heel turn although he starts this off scientifically. There was some really good wrestling early on but Murdoch would kick it into high gear after Perez put the knees to his back by throwing some great punches. Perez would get two dropkicks on Murdoch though followed up with a backslide for a nearfall before going with a side headlock that Murdoch would counter into a vicious backdrop suplex for a nearfall. Murdoch would pop Perez with an elbow and tried for a brainbuster but Perez would counter into an O’Connor Roll that Murdoch would reverse for the victory. Murdoch & Perez would shake hands and embrace after the match and this was fine for what it was. Buck Robley bought TV time on this show to promote the group he was running outlaw at that time against Watts with guys like Mr. Wrestling II, Mike George, Skandor Akbar, Mike Boyette, and others. They show an RnR Express squash from Mid-Atlantic Wrestling. Koko Ware vs. Shawn O’Reilly (2/16/86) Koko looks good here. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero (12/27/85) This is the Fabs debut in Houston and the first match in this series with them acting like huge dicks to the Guerreros. Guerreros dominate the early part of the match with straight up wrestling keeping the Fabs on the mat and keeping the fresh Guerrero in the ring. Fabs try to sneak around switching places while meeting on the floor but Tommy Gilbert isn’t having it. Keirn would finally force Chavo to enter their corner and the double-teaming would begin here and the tide would turn with Lane hitting a big back elbow smash. Chavo would take a lot of punishment in the Fabs’ corner thanks to Hector keeping the ref occupied. Keirn would get a shoulderbreaker on Chavo for a nearfall with Lane dropping him neck first on the top rope as Hector once again gets in the way. Chavo starts to fight back but Lane pulls him back into the corner then tags in and uses a back kick with a backbreaker to follow. Chavo gets chunked to the floor as Hector tackles Tommy Gilbert trying to get to Lane and then chases Keirn back in the ring as he started pounding Chavo on the floor. Chavo would bounce back with a sunset flip for a nearfall but Lane would grab him by the tights as he tried to make a tag and back to the Fabs’ corner he goes. Keirn would throw him back to the floor and slammed him into the railing as Hector makes his way around. Chavo would finally roll around the ring and made the hot tag to Hector as the crowd goes nuts and Hector starts hitting dropkicks as Chavo joins in. The 4-way brawl is on with the Guerreros hitting double dropkicks on both Fabs with Hector covering Lane but Keirn would jump off the top rope with a diving knee to the back and Lane gets the pin although he wasn’t the legal man. This was a very fun match with the Fabs being vicious on offense and both Guerreros showing lots of fire especially Hector trying to save his brother. This goes on the block.

Even better then the earlier match. Hector is a spectacular face in peril here, lots of amusing comedy spots early, and then total desperation at the end. Judo Stan Lane rules with his STO and Shinnonamake, plus the breakdance tag by Hector, I love the wrestlingness of Hector countering the switcheroo which one them the first match. This actually may be the best of the series. The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn & Stan Lane) vs. Chavo & Hector Guerrero (12/27/85) This match is really fun, Stan Lane continues to be amazing as a heel total dick with all of his offense looking great. Hector is amazing as an aggrieved partner. Chavo is suprisingly not as good a face in peril as Hector in the later match Makes it though super good shit
