This is the Houston version of this match off of the Cornette MX set, it is pretty different from the Tulsa match, as this had a Duggan in peril section, as well as lots of Ricky Morton blood. Ernie Ladd was awesome here, his jumping double leg is a spectacularly brutal looking spot. The crowd was molten too, as during the post match MX beatdown it really looked like a riot was about to break out. Man Cornette is almost Bull Painish with his end of the racket to the throat shots. This is a definite pick, and it looks like both of these matches should go on

I thought this match was spectacular as well, much better than I expected. Dennis Condrey had some very fun bumps early on. Ernie Ladd's use of the jumping double leg three times in the match, including twice in a row, looked devastating to his opponent as well as to Ernie. The tease of the short Duggan-in-peril segment followed by the proper Morton-in-peril segment was a nice touch. The ending had amazing heat as Cornette went to town with the ether-soaked rag and tennis raquet. I'll look forward to seeing this again on the set.
