Armstrong throws some great dropkicks early on Eaton that would send him to the floor and the action was fast and furious early on in this match with LX dominating MX. MX would get the advantage using their great double-team moves on Horner to keep him on their side of the ring so they can get the offense in. Eaton was really great here with his elbows both standing and diving. Horner fights when he can but MX are really good at keeping him from making the hot tag but there would be a double collision that would let Horner get the tag to Armstrong. Armstrong is a house of fire and the 4-way brawl is on with Armstrong taking Eaton to the floor where Cornette would jab him with the racket but Armstrong would counter out of another attack nailing both Cornette & Eaton. Taylor would leave commentary to nail Armstrong in the back with the racket with Eaton rolling him to the ring. Eaton would cover Armstrong for the 3 count with Taylor cheering them on at ringside but Carl Fergie would show up and told Edward Faulk what happened and he reversed his decision giving the LX the match by DQ. Screwy finish but a very solid match and I’m throwing it on the block.
November 11, 200717 yr comment_5423821 This was a solid tag match. It just had a feel of a low end nomination for me. I thought the LX work was solid, but a bit on the Vanilla side. The MX were entertaining while on offense. I loved how they gained contol of the match. Overall, solid stuff that I don't think it will eventually make a disk. In 1990 I thought the LX were super fun to watch when feuding with Arn and Windham. Here they are still good, just not as exciting.
November 17, 200717 yr comment_5424043 I thought this would be a mortal lock to make a disc. Now, I am not so sure. When I made my Brad set, I think I thre wthis on there and remember enjoying it at the time. Call me crazy but I thought the Lightning Express vs. Steiner and Sting title change was much better with a much more satisfying finish. Seriously, Lane, Eaton and Brad have all been in some awesome amtches on this set. This was not one of them. No vote. On a sidenote, I could see this getting voted very high if we threw it on the block.
December 17, 200717 yr comment_5425423 Dusty finish really hurts this, as it was only on the cusp up to that point. The MX heat segment was great, but the LX control segment was really boring. Tag bar is too high for this match to clear.
