Shaska Whatley vs. Tim Patterson (8/12/87)

Shaska is great here and this is the same Patterson that worked Tijuana and other lucha groups.

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Terry Taylor vs. Bill Anderson & Harry Zane (8/12/87)

Gilbert & Taylor look good and Anderson also worked lucha groups in his day.

Arn Anderson vs. Brad Armstrong (8/12/87)

Gilbert & Taylor are on commentary here and are great. This has some tremendous back and forth action and a fucking awesome spinebuster by Arn that rattles the ring. Arn would get the advantage from here and would just brutalize Brad but Brad would turn the tables as Arn would go for another spinebuster and Brad gave him a facebuster instead. Brad would run into a knee in the corner though as Arn would climb up top but Brad would slam him off and would hit a dropkick off the top rope. Gilbert & Taylor would pull Brad to the floor and would drop him neck first on the railing before throwing him back in the ring. Arn would cover Brad for the victory in a very fun match.

Doc & Black Bart would have a confrontation in the ring with Ron Simmons holding Doc back and a contract is signed for the match.

Tim Horner vs. The Terminator (8/12/87)

This is revenge for Horner for getting busted up with the claw but the match would end on a DQ when Akbar tripped Horner up. Armstrong would come out as Terminator tried to put the claw on Horner but Bubba would come out as well to even the odds. Gilbert & Taylor would then come out along with Black Bart & Dick Murdoch. Adams & Sting would show up along with Dr. Death & Ron Simmons and The Freebirds. It’s a big standoff and the fans are getting restless wanting this to blow up but it doesn’t happen.

They close the show with Doc & Gordy getting ready to team up to face Gilbert & Murdoch but TV time runs out.

The changes have begun as now the show is being done from a studio in Dallas instead of at the arena and they show a lot of matches that are JIP.

UWF TV Title: Shane Douglas © vs. Terry Taylor (9/2/87)

This is JIP from Lafayette. Taylor was vicious here working on the leg with the figure-four and wins the title then celebrates with the First Family and Gary Young.

The Jive Tones (Tiger Conway Jr. & Shaska Whatley) vs. The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner) (9/2/87)

This one starts out at the beginning but we get a commercial pretty soon and we miss the middle of the match but what is shown is pretty good. Shaska breaks the cane over Armstrong’s head to win the match.

There is a boatload of JCP stuff being shown here so the phasing out of UWF only talent is in full effect.
