Posted November 9, 200718 yr comment_5423720 Budro v Joe Savoldi-competitive but not worth much. Terry Gordy v Gary Young- Maybe my favorite match on this as Gary Young is firey and Terry Gordy is a monster. Nasty neck drop on top rope to lead to finish. Terry Taylor v Michael Hayes- Really dissapointing. Has some moments but early in it felt like '"Hey they are killing time to wait for run in. A couple amusing Roberts collision spots on apron when Buddy Roberts eventually comes out. Ends in DQ when Roberts comes in to belt Taylor. Fantastics v Sting/Gilbert- This is good with some nice bumps but their are better versions of this matchup. Who is booking these CowTown shows?
December 5, 200718 yr comment_5424820 “Nature Boy” Buddy Landell vs. “Jumpin” Joe Savoldi (10/19/86) Squash. Ted DiBiase vs. Art Crews (10/19/86) Squash. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy vs. Gary Young (10/19/86) Gordy looks great. Terry Taylor vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (10/19/86) This was an okay match until Buddy Roberts interfered for the DQ with DiBiase following. UWF Tag Titles: The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) © vs. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Sting (10/19/86) We are in Fort Worth for the debut of Missy with Hot Stuff International. This started with some really solid back and forth action but Rogers would end up becoming the FIP and he did what he did best and that was get his ass beat. Sting looked really great here as he was really coming along in his learning process. Fulton gets the hot tag and we have the 4-way brawl but after Rogers ducks a leapfrog, Missy pulls the top rope down and Rogers goes over the top rope. Fulton gets double teamed but Rogers would climb up top and hit a shitty dropkick on Sting’s shoulder then Fulton hit a shitty Lou Thesz Press for the pinfall with Sting basically laying on top of him. A bad looking finish to a fine match and a fence pick for me because of said finish since there was enough before it that was really good.
