Well, I hated Cody/Owens. Don't know why it opened the show anyway, but yeah... There wasn't really any drama, it was just trading finishers back-and-forth & the forced attempt at drama, with the Cody knee injury, just led to bad acting.

I thought at least KO would turn at the end, but we didn't even get that.

I hate when they do something like 2x Crossroads, third countered into a Stunner after no selling the Crossroads. But then another Crossroads (the fourth in the match?) just ended the match. OK...

Did we watch the same match? I'm not anything close to a fan of Cody and expect KO to be a shell of the Steen that I've loved since first seeing him in 2005, but I thought this was a hell of a match and is actually my MotY at the moment.

I thought it was pretty damn good as well. Good pacing, big spots, a solid story of Owens not going far enough to finish the job but without overdoing it and they brought it home without overstaying their welcome. Maybe match of the week. MOTY? Yeah, not that high on it.

I really liked Cody/Owens as well. I agree that overuse of finishing moves is a huge problem, but that’s pretty much an industry wide issue. When people are constantly kicking out of finishing maneuvers, they really aren’t “finishing” moves anymore…but that aside, I found that to be a really solid match otherwise.

Rhea, my goodness

Tye Dillinger, tell us how she rates tonight?!

Meanwhile, with all the chatter about Sid the last few days -- is Rhea somewhat a vastly better yet comparable female? Incredible look, charisma and presence with a few absolute gems in the ring. But generally relying on said look, charisma and presence between the ropes.

That Gunther pop seemed pretty tame, especially relative to Kaiser's last night and a number of others on this show. Berlin not feeling the ring general?

So far the crowd has been more busy celebrating themselves (in the main event).

I don't care about this match at all. Foregone conclusion. Methodical style, which is great against other opponents but not necessarily each other. TBH, though, I blanked out and barely watched it. Glad it's over and they can both move on to more exciting programs.
