I am liking that idea of Tom's of making a montage of his jackets. They go for the nututal respect angle to begin with until Horner lands outside and Pritchard decides to drop him on the guardrail to end up winning by countout. Not disc worthy but fun to watch. 2nd "Brickhouse" Brown VS. "Thor" 3rd "The Barbarian" VS. Richard Dye 4th Edcar "Boo" Thomas VS. Brad Armstrong 5th "DR. Death" Steve Williams and Jake "The Snake" Roberts VS. Shawn Michaels & PVT. Terry Daniels 6th Chris Adams VS. Steve Casey 7th Kerry Von Erik and Terry Taylor VS. Paul Brown and Jack Victory - Squashes and quick victories - Feature on Duggan and Country Singer Jon Anderson Produced:4-26-85 1st Edcar "Boo" Thomas VS. "Brickhouse" Brown 2nd "DR. Death" Steve Williams VS. PVT. Terry Daniels - Squashes 3rd "The Rock N Roll Express" VS. Jake "The Snake" Roberts and "The Barbarian" - The story here is that the RNR don't know how to handle the powerful Barbarian and Nord just manhandles them when he is in but when Jake is in, the RNR gain advantage by attacking the leg. Sweet finish as they take Barbarian out with the double dropkick and Morton gets his head caught in the ropes. DWBs try to rip Morton's head off to cause the DQ. A nice tag match that set up the RNR-DWB feud. Low level nomination that I won't mind is on a set but I won't go to the wall fo rit either. 4th Jack Victory VS. Steve Casey 5th Eddie Gilbert and "The Nightmare" VS. Tim Horner & "Rocky" Montana 6th Steve Brinson VS. Kamala 7th "Dirty" Dutch Mantell VS. "Stoney" Montana - Squashes and quick victories
November 17, 200717 yr comment_5424034 The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Barbarian & Jake “The Snake” Roberts (4/10/85) Morton would use his speed to get the advantage on Jake early so he would tag out to Barbarian who Morton has problems trying to figure out what to do with. Barbarian uses his power to dominate Morton before tagging Jake in who takes Morton down with a side headlock but Morton would once again get the best of Jake and tagged in Gibson who started working a spinning toehold before tagging Morton back in who kept working on Jake’s right leg. Gibson would come back in and continued the attack but Jake would kick him into the Barbarian who clubbed him before getting the tag. Barbarian & Jake would take turns pounding on Gibson before Gibson could make a comeback making the hot tag to Morton. RnR would hit stereo double dropkicks but Morton would get caught in the ropes with the DWB’s pulling on Morton’s legs. Gibson would get DDTed before Duggan would come out but he would get a full-nelson by Barbarian and a DDT by Jake as the babyfaces tried to make the save. The finish was solely to set up Jake & Barbarian as a team and the DWB’s as the main foes for RnR. This was a fine match but not enough for a nomination.
