I was mistaken about this being a No DQ match. They had a No Holds Barred match a few weeks later right before the Rumble. Orton controlled most of this bout through headlocks, which isn't a bad base to work from, but the crowd weren't as interested in it as I was. The WWE machine wasn't firing and there wasn't a ton of heat for this. Orlando Jordan did another unexplained run-in, and Booker and his wife were involved in the finish. Benoit forced Orton to tap while the ref was unconscious, so that Cole could gripe about the injustice of Booker's victory, but it was tough to get excited about this angle.
