Posted November 13, 200717 yr comment_5423878 The Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton) vs. Rick McCord & Steve Miller (9/12/84) Total squash and before the match Reed & Landell cut an awesome promo on Master G. “Exotic” Adrian Street vs. Mike Jackson (9/12/84) This was a really fun match with Street looking great and Jackson getting some offense in as well. Brickhouse Brown & Johnny Mantell vs. Don Saunders & Dale Veasy (9/12/84) Spotlight match for the faces. Magnum TA vs. Art Crews (9/12/84) Squash. Mid-South TV Title: Terry Taylor © vs. Hercules Hernandez (9/12/84) Both men kick it in high gear from the bell with Taylor getting a nearfall out of a Thesz Press before going to a side headlock. Herc would break out and would hit a swinging neckbreaker that looked stiff before going to a rear chinlock. Taylor would try to fight out but Herc would yank his hair taking him back to the mat although Taylor would soon get up where he would meet a high knee. Herc would miss a diving elbow though and Taylor fires the punches before Herc would armdrag him right into Pee Wee Anderson. Taylor would soon hit the five-arm but Dr. Death would show up with the football helmet for the DQ. Doc would bash Taylor bloody with the helmet before the locker room would make the save. Master G vs. “Hacksaw” Butch Reed (9/12/84) Reed and Landell are talking plenty shit in the ring with Landell holding the feathers. G shows up and the brawl is on with some great punches being thrown especially by the Master. G would nail Butch with a clothesline then started putting the boots to him before continuing the punching brigade. Reed would eat a dropkick as Landell would run in the ring for the DQ. They would double up on G but Reed would hit Landell accidentally with a diving shoulderblock from the middle rope. G would dropkick Reed to the floor and then bashed his head on the railing before getting the bag of feathers. G pours the syrup on Landell then puts the feathers on him as the faces hold Reed off. This is great stuff. Hacksaw Duggan vs. Steve Brinson (9/26/84) Squash. “Nature Boy” Buddy Landell vs. Rocky King (9/26/84) Landell is great here. Brickhouse Brown & Master G vs. The Midnight Express (“Loverboy” Dennis Condrey & “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton) (9/26/84) Brick looks good early against Eaton before tagging Master in which Eaton wants none of him so he tags out to Condrey but Master would pound on both of them sending them to the floor. MX would get the advantage on Brick though as he would go for a monkey flip out of the corner but Eaton would hold Condrey there. Eaton would hit a nice double-arm suplex for a nearfall then MX would tag in and out keeping the pressure on Brick. Brick would mount an attack on MX though before Cornette would hold down the top rope so he could fly over the top rope. Ladd, Landell, & Reed would come in but Master would fight them all off for a while until the numbers got too much. Landell started whipping Master with a belt until the faces cleared house. This was fun stuff. Terry Taylor vs. Jason Walker (9/26/84) Squash but Street is on commentary and is great. Hercules Hernandez & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Sonny King & Magnum TA (9/26/84) Magnum throws some great armdrags on both heels to start the match and was working at a real fast pace. King would tag in and it was funny to see the young heels bump and sell for him. Magnum would get the tag and kept up his fast pace but would fall to a cross chop by Doc. Doc would put Magnum in a bearhug then Herc would tag in and followed up with his own but would get an O’Connor Roll on Herc. Doc would come in though and bashed Magnum with the football helmet with Herc getting the win. This was pretty good. “Superstar” Bill Dundee vs. Rick McCord (9/26/84) Spotlight match for Dundee who looks great here.
