Lex Luger vs Randy Savage - WCW Halloween Havoc 1995

A nothing burger of a match. It was bad, but there was not much meat on the bone at only 5 minutes. Each man won a match over Dungeon of Doom earlier in the night in order to make this match happen. Savage defeated the Zodiac in under two minutes. Luger had a long, ~13 minute match, but was about to lose when Sullivan hit him to trigger a DQ and make this match happen.

Luger would reveal that he was Dungeon of Doom 4 Life at the end of the show when he RACKED Hogan and Savage to end the show. At this point, this was still nominally face vs face. Typical Savage babyface performance as we go into heat quickly. It is a pretty scrappy match. Lots of short punches, snug strikes and throwing your opponent into hard objects. Savage blocks Luger sending him into the railing and in turn he sends the Package into the railing. Savage Axe Bomber looked sick. Jimmy Hart is out and it is also not known that he is Dungeon of Doom 4 Life either at this point. Luger knocks heads with Jimmy Hart on the apron and leads to the Macho Man elbow for the win.

They were on pace for a good match. They were working snug, dirty and ugly. The Jimmy Hart shit was dumb and convoluted. It only seemed to exist to throw people off the scent of Jimmy Hart and Lex Luger, but there was no sus on Jimmy Hart so it was just dumb. Wish they got 5-10 more minutes.
