Posted May 27May 27 comment_6030436 SGT. SLAUGHTER & JUNKYARD DOG vs IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (10/13/1984; WWF Philadelphia Spectrum; 00:25:24) SOLID NOMINATION. The atmosphere is insane! Great shtick early with Dog biting the heels with the ref distracted. When Sarge came in and started biting Sheik, I lost it. Sarge takes 2 HUGE corner bumps that bust him open and the heels attack. Sarge is still one of the best wrestlers in the world and the crowd wants him to make that hot tag so bad. Awesome hope spot as Sheik prevented Sarge from making the hot tag and the outstretched hands missed by less than an inch. The Nikolai nerve pinch on Dog brought this down a bit. Sheik has his own nerve pinch but eventually gets the Camel Clutch on. Slaughter goes nuts and gets the double DQ? That made no sense but this sets up the rematch.
