Posted June 2Jun 2 comment_6030655 Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat (Philly 11/8/86) - This is very similar to the Boston match early on with the arm drags and Ricky controlling. This does have a sweet Savage running clothesline and I didn’t see the foreign object in use. Later on, Ricky skins the cat and gets a nice near fall on an O’Connor roll. Outside, they brawl and I thought this would be the count out portion. Instead, Savage posts Ricky on the ring post. The stretch run is nearly identical with Steamboat doing shoulder tackles for near falls and Macho missing the axe handle to damage his leg. Same finish and same dumb reaction from Steamer after. We only need one. IF the finish would have been different, we could have both on the set but we don’t need to. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! NOMINATION BUT COMPARE TO BOSTON 11/1/86
