Tito Santana vs. Butch Reed (Toronto, Maple Leaf 11/16/86)
-    Really slow going and tentative to engage for the first 5 minutes. It picks up with Tito getting a hip toss and body slam but Butch retreats. This match definitely ahs its moments but its in between minutes of dead space. You can tell the crowd wants to be excited but they bring them down over and over again. Tito works a headlock and Butch shoots him outside to turn the tide. They brawl outside and Butch hooks in the chin lock inside. Man, when Tito broke that chin lock , the crowd went wild and they were so upset when Reed got the big knee up. Yeah, when Tito fights back, they go nuts. It makes sense that Reed would go back to the chinlock because every time Tito is on his feet, he gets the best of Reed. They certainly are keeping the crowd in the match. The last 7 or 8 minutes were hot and the crowd goes nuts when Tito finally gets the figure 4 in. The bell rings while Reed was in the hold for the 20-minute draw. Tito gets on the mic after and says he didn’t come for a draw. He asks Reed to come back in and get some. Reed attacks while Santana was tied up with the ref. Once Tito fights back, Reed bails. This started slow but picked up steam and turned into an awesome match. SOLID NOMINATION.

EXPOSER:

Tito Santana vs. Butch Reed - Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens 11/16/86

This was a 20 minute draw. I didn't like the pacing in this at all. It was too slow. The match didn't get truly under way till about eight minutes in and before that was just time kill. Tito had some compelling hope spots and the finish was pretty good. This would have been much better if it was a ten minute match.

EDIT: Devon had this as a no a long time ago.
