Posted June 3Jun 3 comment_6030704 Rick Rude vs. Paul Orndorff (MSG 11/24/87) - Orndorff has Humperdink and doesn’t even get in the ring. He yanks Rude out and attacks him outside. He chases Brain out and goes back to attacking Rude. Hot start! Holy shit, Rude gets his foot stuck on the rope Buddy Rose style and Orndorff grabs a cord and chokes him while upside down. Noggin knocker with Heenan and now Orndorff is posing and the crowd erupts! Rude tries to stop him and gets an atomic drop, clothesline and elbow for his troubles. Tide turns when Rude lifts his knee on an Irish whip charge. Rude pounds on Orndorff and when he tries his chinlock, Orndorff lifts right up and electric chair drops him. Orndorff splash lands on Rude’s knees. Rude keeps the punishment up but after punching Paul in the face, Orndorff fights back with vicious punches. Orndorff pins Rude than pulls him up. He clotheslines and signals for the piledriver. Heenan distracts. Rude rolls him up for three. Stupid babyface. Best of the three matches I have seen. Orndorff attacks him after the bell. SOLID NOMINATION (but wouldn’t mind seeing another match between the two.)
