Posted November 17, 200717 yr comment_5424052 Mid-South Tag Titles: Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams © vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (6/19/85) DiBiase goes to work on Morton early but Morton would get dropkicks on both men to stop the early momentum. It would turn into a 4-way brawl early with RnR hitting stereo dropkicks and monkey flips sending the champs to the floor. Morton tells DiBiase when he comes back to the ring that the belts are coming back to them so DiBiase attacks him but Morton hits a perfect huracarana on DiBiase for a nearfall. Doc & Gibson would tag in and Doc delivers a big shoulderblock in the corner but would miss a second one with Gibson getting a sunset flip for a nearfall. Gibson would then give armdrags to the champs but Doc would grab Gibson by the face and threw him into his corner where they would double-team Gibson. DiBiase would tag in and hit a sweet back elbow/diving fistdrop combo before grounding Gibson with Doc tagging in to keep up the pressure. Doc would keep Gibson on the mat with a variety of chinlocks plus using the hair and tights but Gibson would fight out and tagged in Morton who came in blazing. Morton would pound on the champs until Gibson could hit a dropkick on DiBiase then a double dropkick on Doc. DiBiase would get thrown into Gibson and the referee who would fall to the floor leaving DiBiase & Gibson in the ring with Teddy loading up the glove. DiBiase hit Gibson but knocked him to the floor with Morton getting an O’Connor Roll as Doc loads up the armpad and he destroyed Morton with a clothesline with Teddy rolling over for the victory. This is the TV version of their house matches and it is all-action with Gibson doing a good job of being the FIP and the champs looking awesome. Morton was solid too in the role he isn’t used to being the receiver of the hot tag. Phil had called this one his favorite of their series before we got the house stuff so I want to see what he thinks now. This is a definite nomination. Will doesn't have this right now so either me or Phil will have to get it to him. Phil watch this ASAP.

November 22, 200717 yr comment_5424357 This starts off great with some neat sequences including stereo dropkicks, corner monkey flips and the Morton-rana. Gibson plays FIP in this one which is a nice change of pace. Great finishing sequence after the ref bump makes this an easy nomination. Going on!!!
