Andre the Giant vs. Hacksaw Duggan (Lumberjack Match) (Boston 8/6/88)
-    This is rough because this also does not have the LA energy. Quick headbutt sends Duggan down and he can’t escape. No real choking early. Punches, chops, biting Duggan’s face. Wow… Baba chop to the back of Jim’s neck. Oh wow, this changes everything, the strap of his singlet is choking Duggan in the chin lock. I wonder if this happened in the other matches. Andre with more strikes and headbutts than before. Duggan is rolled back in the ring and Andre immediately sits on him… FOUR ANDRE SPLASHES! Now Andre is standing on him. Wow, Andre’s offense is really different this match. Andre gets rope tied after a big clothesline. Hacksaw teased tossing the ref but stopped. Then goes back to Andre and bites him. He does the dumb headbutt spot and Andre is back on his feet. Andre is really active in this match. They do the same steel turnbuckle spot. I Don’t even remember him taking off the pad. Duggan gets the 3 point stance and bangs him into the steel . Same 2x4 interference spot that sends him to the outside. OK, This is the same formula as the MSG match but with almost no resting, better Andre fighting and all the same cool spots from that match. I would give this a SOLID NOMINATION because it was quicker and we get the best of that MSG match with no filler.
