Rick Rude vs. Jake Roberts (LA Sports Arena 7/15/88)
-    This crowd nay be the best in history. Jake checks on Damian and Rude slithers his way close until Jake turns around. They fight until a near DDT attempt sends Rude out. C&P each time, the match follows the pattern of Philly:
+ Rude distracts Jake by taking Damian and dropping him in the aisle. Jake retrieves and when he comes in, Rude takes over. Genius.
+ He is hooking in the chin lock but they are moving in and out much faster. At the very least, Rude is distracting with posing and gaga. The crowd is so much hotter than Philly. OK, the chinlock is lasting a little too long but the heat. Damn, the heat of this crowd. Damn, there is some great stuff but so much chin lock. This also takes 10 minutes longer than the Philly match and it is mainly chin lock. The finish was also different. Jake is counted out but when he comes back in, he brings Damian and puts it on Rude, who freaks out and runs out of there. So this had the hotter crowd but took way too long to get to the great parts. We have a shorter better match from Philly but this had the snake stuff at the end. A Jake interviews with Gorilla after the match. They will have a rematch the next month. SOLID NOMINATION (But only for comparison to Philly.) (We don’t need both. Hell, we might have neither but we don’t need both.)
