Randy Savage vs. Ted DiBiase (Cage Match) (Philly 9/24/88)
-    Ted attacks Randy immediately and is not letting up. Great punches, back elbow, backbreaker. Ted misses a knee drop and is limping. He still has the upper hand although Macho kept Ted from escaping. Macho keep s fighting back but Ted looks great here. Macho prevents Ted from escaping again with a big slam. Nice block to Ted’s 3rd escape attempt. Macho climbs up, fights with Ted, kicks him, hits a pointed elbow to the neck and Ted snaps on the top rope (safely). Ted tries to ram Macho into the cage but its countered and Ted meets steel. Virgil stops Macho’s escape repeatedly. DiBiase still can’t ram Macho in the cage. Double clothesline and both men are out. They recover and both climb separate sides. DiBiase saw Macho on the other side and stopped his escape. I love Ted’s falling fist drops. However, if there is one thing that is certain, Ted is getting his head rammed in the cage. Macho tries to crawl out but Virgil slams the door in his face. Great visual of Macho grabbing Ted’s hair and pulling him back in. At the finish, Virgil interferes again but Macho slams Ted and Virgil’s heads together. Macho wins. I don’t know if we need both cage matches but they are both worthy of nominations. STRONG NOMINATION.
