Posted June 9Jun 9 comment_6031043 Hulk Hogan vs. Ted DiBiase (Boston 9/10/88) - This is Hogan’s Roman Gladiator period. He is wearing the war bonnet. HE is in complete control early on and the crowd is going nuts for his offense. He knocks Virgil off the apron and wags his finger at Ted. Here is the biggest face ever raking the back, rubbing DiBiase’s face in the mat, kicking DiBiase in the face when he’s down and taunting the referee. DiBiase trying to control with an armbar and Hogan fights back by pulling DiBiase by the hair three times! Hogan goes for the leg drop but Virgil interferes and DiBiase attacks from behind. DiBiase with huge knee drops, Hogan down, taunting the crowd and people are throwing trash at him. Wow. DiBiase brings the crowd down with a chin lock but Hogan hulks up, runs wild and both men are knocked out by a double clothesline. The crowd is back into it. Virgil has the war bonnet on. Ted tries to ram Hulk into the helmet but Hogan gives them a noggin knocker. Hogan then puts the helmet on for the big leg drop and the win. I really enjoyed this match a lot. We don’t need ten war bonnet matches but this was pretty great. STRONG NOMINATION.
