Posted June 10Jun 10 comment_6031103 The Rockers vs. Los Conquistadores (MSG 9/29/88) - No shine for the Rockers and the Conquistadores do a cool spot where they have Marty in a torture rack and then they switch out with the ref not looking. Man, every time Marty is in the ring, he gets his ass kicked but Shawn save shim and in an awesome spot, they monkey flip Marty who lands on his feet and clotheslines the other heel. Shawn ends up in peril and these guys are just solid in getting heat and cutting the ring in half. Some really good hope spots and the crowd gets worked up. Conquistador misses a senton and the crowd goes wild when Marty comes in. He cleans house including his patented missed dropkick Crazy bump by Michaels on a noggin knocker but it doesn’t matter because he sneaks to the top rope and hits the huge splash for the win. This will get a SOLID NOMINATION but we need to decide between this and the LA match. LA had nuclear heat but I think the work here was better with cooler spots.
