Hart Foundation vs. Killer Bees (Philly 9/18/87)
-    So the Bees start off strong with a butt thump and control of Anvil’s arm. They do some arm work that turns into leg work. Bret comes in and they work his leg. Quick in and outs and I am enjoying this so far. Blair sets up the figure 4 and Anvil has enough and breaks it up. The Harts have Blair in peril and the work is solid doing the typical Hart double teams although Anvil did sit in a chin lock for a hot minute. The Bees make several hot tags the ref did not see and this got the crowd going. Finally, Harts go for battering ram, Bret misses and does his chest first bump. Blair dumps Anvil over the top and hot tag. Awesome. Brunzell lights Bret up. I love that after each near fall, Brunzell just punches Bret in the face. Little details like that go a long way. Brunzell hits the patented dropkick on Bret to send him to the apron. As Brunzell lifts him up for the suplex, Anvil trips him and Bret gets the pin. I am nominating this as a SOLID NOMMINATION but mainly for comparison sake. If we have a match with unique spots or atmosphere, we can drop this one. But the work was solid and entertaining from beginning to end.
