Posted June 11Jun 11 comment_6031170 HULK HOGAN & JUNKYARD DOG vs DORY FUNK JR. & TERRY FUNK (05/03/1986; WWF Saturday Night’s Main Event; 00:16:50) - Pre-match interviews with Jimmy Jack Funk and Haiti Kid in the corners of their respective teams. - The early stuff with Hogan doing the JYD headbutts, wrapped in the chain and Haiti Kid grabbing Jimmy Hart and crawling under the ring was awesome. Outside, Terry almost grabs Haiti Kid but he escapes under the ring again. Finally, Jimmy Hart gets him with the branding iron. Dog took him to the back and Hogan is going it alone. That didn’t last long because JYD was back pretty quickly. I thought they would have milked it. Wild scene as Terry Funk and Jimmy Hart beat up on Hogan. Terry takes Hogan down the aisle but JYD saves and they give Terry a nasty back body drop on the concrete. Shit, Dory gets the big boot and he recovers. Terry is back. Haiti is back. Everyone is Superman. JYD makes a big comeback and Hogan runs roughshod and drops the leg on Terry. The heels throw Dog and Hulk out of the ring and attack Haiti Kid. They are going to brand the midget but Hulk saves!!! Haiti Kid tagging on Jimmy Hart is awesome. This was nuts. I don’t think I have seen this since 1986 IF I even watched it then. SOLID NOMINATION for the most fun I have had today watching footage. This is also different enough from the Boston match so they both deserve a nomination.
