Posted June 12Jun 12 comment_6031230 HULK HOGAN vs RANDY SAVAGE (05/24/1986; WWF Boston Garden; 00:24:32) 4* - A lot of stalling and gaga from Savage who is unwilling to engage. Hogan mocks him and engages in his own bullshit. This is really fun to watch actually. After 6 minutes, Savage offers his hand. Hogan kicks him in the gut and goes to town. Axe bomber. Crowd erupts. Hogan has had enough of the games. Three dropping elbows and Hogan poses. An atomic drop sends Savage outside. Hogan now has his working boots on. Hogan gives chase to Savage and Savage attacks on the inside of the ring. He jams his fingers in Hogan’s eyes and hits the double axe handle. Outside, he hits the super axe handle. Macho rams Hogan into the barricade and it collapses! In side Macho hits the elbow but Hulk kicks out at two and hulks up. Hogan goes for the big boot and Savage grabbed the rope and went out but the announcers sold it as if he was kicked out. Weird. Inside, Hogan goes for the axe bomber and accidentally hits the ref. The ref is out. Savage has the title belt and hits Hogan with it. Hogan is now busted open but the bell rings. NO! Don’t tease me with a bloody Hogan and end the match!!! Randy Savage wins by count out as Hogan is lying on the floor a bloody mess. There are some things wrong with this match but it was pretty epic from beginning to end. Some of the gaga at the beginning might have gone on too long but this is a STRONG NOMINATION. As always, it will need to compare to all the other 15 matches in the feud. WAIT! Hogan brings Savage back to the ring on his shoulders and swings the belt at him but Savage dodges. Hogan’s shorts are white and stained with blood. Beautiful.
