RICK MARTEL & TONY GAREA vs MOONDOGS (12/29/1980; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:15:00)

-          The faces work over the legs similar to the Samoans match but I think it was more exciting in that affair. The Garden is loving it though. Martel ends up in peril and the crowd is really behind Martel. This heat segment is making the crowd work themselves into a frenzy. Great teamwork. Garea gets the tag and back body drops both guys. A knee drop gets two for Garea as does a body slam. The crowd is loud. Garea gets in his ab stretch and Rex comes in and nails Garea with his bone for a DQ. Dammit, I was going to give this a solid nomination it but the DQ finish ruined what could have been a really great stretch run. MIDDLE NOMINATION. Bonus points for Garea busted open from the bone shot. That saved the match from the dumpster fire.
