SGT. SLAUGHTER vs MIL MASCARAS (06/27/1981; WWF Capital Centre; 00:12:08)

-          This is primarily worked on the mat but Sarge is game and Mil gets to work all of his patented lucha stuff (head scissors, Surfboard, pins) in seamlessly. They never stay too long in holds and I was surprised how much Sarge gave to Mil. Sarge has enough and starts punishing Mil with punches and a knee drop. Mil fights back and the crowd is starting to come alive. Mil whips Sarge and I was expecting a dropkick or dive… he just punches him in the face. Mil gets his flying chops a dropkick and hits the flying body press FOR THE PIN. What? A clean ending? I was shocked and the crowd was happy. I Am going to pass this on as a SOLID NOMINATION as a fresh change of pace and unexpected surprise.
