Posted June 15Jun 15 comment_6031332 Jumping Bomb Angels vs. Glamour Girls (2/3 Falls) (Royal Rumble 1/24/88) - 1st fall: Angels attack first but Glamour Girls respond quickly with some wild hair tosses. We get the stalling gutwrench suplex early. When Leilani Kai gets in, the Angels take over and it sets up an Octopus where Martin interferes and accidentally kicks Kai. This sets up a double figure four where the crowd pops. The Angels just torturing Kai with dynamic offense like a Muta Lock and a split crotch leg drop. Then they engage in a tug of war with Martin over Kai. Martin comes in and quickly controls the match. Martin gets the pin with an alley-oop flip slam. Fun first fall. - 2nd fall: Starts quickly with Martin trying to end things but the Angel does her bridging pin escape and keeps the bridge as Martin is punching her ribs. Wow, the Angels get several pin attempts but reverse a powerbomb attempt to get the 2nd fall on Martin. More exciting action in this fall. - 3rd fall: The Glamour Girls gain control and punish the pink angel. Nice underhook suplex from Kai. I don’t like how they just let the Angels tag each other without a struggle. The 3rd fall has been the weakest fall so far. I am not advocating go-go-go wreslting but they need some of that to engage this crowd. They pick it up after the Angels start the near falls. First with some big butt bumps, the flying knee drop, bridging butterfly suplex, flying cross body. They picked it up in a big way. Red Angel misses a senton and that gets a nearfall for the Glamour Girls. Leilani Kai distracts the ref, the Angels hit a double missile dropkick and the ref counts to three for the title change. The crowd really pops huge for the title win. SOLID NOMINATION.
