IRON SHEIK vs HULK HOGAN (01/23/1984; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:18:16)
-    Hogan attacks early with Sheik still robed. Sheik is bumping and selling huge for all of Hogan’s offense. The crowd is loving this. Hogan gets a one count for a running elbow drop. Hogan misses a charge in the corner. Sheik now attacking but the crowd is indeed deafening for Hogan. Hogan is hurt. Sheik is loading the boot and kicking Hogan in the back. Sheik puts Hogan in the Boston Crab! Hogan powers out but the Sheik is still in control with a strong gutwrench suplex. Two count. Sheik sets up and applies the Camel Clutch! Hogan powers out of the Camel Cutch and rams him in the corner. The crowd is wild. Leg drop. One of the loudest pops and celebrations you will ever hear in your life follows. The crowd has been cheering for 5 minutes straight. Sheik recovers and attacks Hogan and Hogan clears the ring. Sheik throws a chair inside and goes wild. If you take the crowd, the historical importance and the match / post-match into account, this is an EASY NOMINATION. If you only consider the match and actions within the match, it’s an extra. Include the locker room celebration and it’s a lock. True confession… I had never seen the entire thing until today. I had only seen clips. This is one of the most surreal environments I have ever witnessed in a wrestling setting.
