Posted June 16Jun 16 comment_6031343 Harley Race vs. Tito Santana (Boston 10/4/86) - Neither guy can get the advantage early on but Harley does his patented missed headbutt. Tito punches Harley out of the ring and Harley goes backwards and upside down the stairs. Tito tries to control Harley back in the ring but Harley gets him in the corner and is able to hit the 2nd rope headbutt. HE also gets the piledriver to hit after having it reversed earlier. Damn, on his next headbutt attempt, Tito counters it with an elbow to the falling face. That looked fucked up. Tito didn’t stay in control long because Harley used a foreign object to jab Tito in the eyes. HE keeps jabbing Tito in the eye. The referee is clueless. Race continues to punish Tito. Headbutts, nasty knees to the head, punches. Tito fighting back with his punches and forearms. Awesome spot where he rams Harley and Heenan together… twice! Inside, Harley gives a low blow and then an atomic drop. Tito fights back but Race gets the back suplex and Tito raises his arm at the last second to steal the victory. SOLID NOMINATION. I had a lot of fun watching this.
