They start off hot just tagging each other. They always start off great. Piper is slamming and choking Paul on the mat. There is a $50,000 bounty on Orndorff’s head by Bobby Heenan. They are just attacking each other like the other one slept with their wife. Piper delivers an ugly DDT variation then does a running stomp to the face. Outside they slam each other on the table and Piper hits Paul with a chair. Inside, Paul hits a pointed elbow from the top rope. Orndorff delivers a back suplex and Jesse points out it is the first wrestling move of the match. Piper begging off then eye poke, knee lift and a bulldog attempt turns into a noggin knocker. Both guys are out. Piper doesn’t cover. He just tries to choke him. Both guys fight all the way down the aisle and go under the announce booth and fight in the dressing room area. Piper closes his dressing room and Orndorff can’t get in. This was AMAZING. STRONG NOMINATION. I can’t believe this isn’t talked about more. Maybe because they weren’t bleeding buckets. Great fight!

Overall, this is a more polished presentation but is like the others (the brawling start and has the fight to the back finish). Middle portion is more cut down due to the shorter tv time. In a vacuum it’s at least a solid nomination. But within the context of everything I’ve watched. I’d say this is a greyer area for nominating. Possibly more of an extra.
