Posted June 19Jun 19 comment_6031495 HULK HOGAN vs MASKED SUPERSTAR (02/18/1984; WWF Philadelphia Spectrum; 00:22:53) - Hulk Hogan interview with Killer Kal Rudman. - Test of strength and Hogan stomps on Superstar’s fingers. Superstar tries to regroup but inside, he gets hit with the axe bomber. Outside, he gets an atomic drop. Hogan does the Fargo strut for his mini-celebration. Hogan does some arm work and is feeling good until he gets a headbutt to the stomach and Hogan crumples. They work in and out of a Superstar chin lock but they don’t rest for long like Superstar is known to do. Superstar gets a running headbutt for two and he is frustrated. Hogan picks up Superstar and drives him in the corner to break his hold. Axe bomber gets two. Superstar uses a foreign object and nails Hogan in the throat. Dammit, Superstar dropped the object and it is a DQ. I really thought this would be the Masked Superstar match to make the se. It’s going to be hard. Hogan knocks Superstar out with the object after the match. Hogan goes for the mask. Like the previous match, Superstar rakes the eyes and runs for the hills. SOLID NOMINATION. Probably Superstar’s best match in WWF by far. That finish soured me a bit on the match.
