HULK HOGAN vs BIG JOHN STUDD (10/13/1984; WWF Philadelphia Spectrum; 00:15:24)

-          I’m cracking up because Studd starts the match off with a chin lock. Dammit man LMAO. Hogan says, “Not on my watch” and makes Studd move. Studd rolls out of the ring and pulls Hogan out with him. Hogan blocks a post ram and rams Studd into the post twice and the blood is flowing. 3rd post! 1984 Hogan rules. Hogan goes in the ring, reaches over the ropes, and because Studd is so tall, bites Studd’s head. Hulk having his way until Studd catches him with a clothesline. Studd hits Hogan with a Hammer from the 2nd rope. That’s the equivalent of a Superfly Splash from Studd. I thought Studd was about to do a bear hug but he actually picked Hogan up, moved his feet and almost ran him into a turnbuckle. Another 2nd rope Hammer. Now, he has the bear hug. He held it about 75 seconds which is 2 or 3 minutes less than I expected. Hogan fights out but Studd shuts it down. Studd signals to slam Hogan. He can’t do it. Hogan blocks but Studd beats him down anyway. Hogan hulks up after a nonchalant pin from Studd. Hogan runs, ducks a clothesline and hits his own Axe Bomber / clothesline for a 3 count. I thought this was really fun for a Studd match. MIDDLE NOMINATION. After the match, Hogan challenges Studd to a bodyslam challenge and they continue to fight but eventually, Studd bails out.
