Posted June 20Jun 20 comment_6031547 HART FOUNDATION vs BRITISH BULLDOGS (04/27/1985; WWF Philadelphia Spectrum; 00:22:38) - The first part of the match showed off the Bulldogs offense including a swank DK enziguiri. They settle in with Dynamite in peril. Solid work but Neidhart gets real chinlock-y. Bret decided to get nasty with a deadlift hair pull. They drop DK on a railing before going back to the chinlock. DK gets the tag after hitting an ice back breaker. “Crowd comes alive” once Davey cleans house. Have to give them credit for getting the people into the match. Davey quickly becomes the face in peril and here we go again. Harts cheating nicely and punishing Davey. Not a fan of Bret’s nerve pinch but the atomic drop counter by Davey was nice. DK thrown out but he reverses a whip in to the railing and Bret hits steel. Great sequence when Bret climbs the ropes, gets thrown off and Davey hits a missile dropkick before making the hot tag. DK with the snap suplex and headbutt. He hooks an ab stretch but Anvil hits him from behind. He still recovers first and hits the Tombstone for two. Davey sets up the powerslam. DK with a knee drop and clothesline. Neidhart breaks up a Davey pin. Bret hits a dropkick and they go to a 20-minute time limit. SOLID NOMNIATION. They will figure this out and have better matches down the rod but I was entertained most of the way through.
