BARRY WINDHAM & MIKE ROTUNDA vs BRUTUS BEEFCAKE & GREG VALENTINE (08/10/1985; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:29:30)

-          Great quick start from Valentine and Rotunda moving between an arm bar from Mike and Valentine attempting to soften up the leg. Early on, I was shocked at how busy Beefcake was working in and out of the headlock. Thumbs up, Brutus! He even took a BRUTAL elbow in the corner from Windham. Great hammerlock takedown from Mike back into the headlock! Mike gets worked over and is in peril. Its already ten minutes in and the time is breezing on by. Poor Mike keeps getting thrown outside. They’ve done an ace job of generating heat. Great hope spot as Mike kicks Hammer outside but Hammer barely cuts him off from the tag. He makes another leap but lands in a bear hug from Hammer to prevent the tag. They did a great cut off from Mike crawling through Beefcake’s legs only to get hammered down by Greg. After turning a bear hug into a pin attempt, fans erupt when Mike breaks a pin with a bridge. They explode when he makes the hot tag to Barry. Barry and Greg are going to war! Now I want that singles match! Hot tag to Mike sets up the airplane spin. Brutus breaks up the pin. Greg goes for the figure 4 and Barry hits a sunset flip for the three as the illegal man. The crowd loved it. I loved it. I thought this tag was phenomenal. EASY NOMINATION.
