Posted September 22, 201411 yr comment_5627643 This was a real blast. The crowd was super hot. Orton and Piper were flayling around and stooging for the faces. Piper and Orndorff had some great bursts here and there. Piper pinballing for Andre and Orndorff was a great moment. The faces using Orton's cast as a weapon was great. Andre trying to un tape the cast was cool, and even cooler was the heels turned the tables and used the tape as a weapon on Andre. We also had a fun finish during a wild fight.
June 21Jun 21 comment_6031598 ANDRE THE GIANT & PAUL ORNDORFF vs RODDY PIPER & BOB ORTON (08/10/1985; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:12:32) - Pier 6 brawl to start. Piper caught alone with Andre and Orndorff and being abused. Orton back in and Orndorff uses Orton’s cast against Piper and sends both guys packing. That was an AWESOME start with the crowd going nuts. Piper was being such a dick. Orton messed up letting Orndorff getting the tag because Andre grabs Orton’s arm and tries to dismantle his arm taking off the cast. At the same time, he won’t let him tag Piper and then at the same time, uses the tape from the arm to choke Orton. WILD! Andre ties Piper to the tag rope while Orndorff brutalizes Orton. Once Orndorff has his way, Andre stands on Orton for good measure. Orndorff and Andre tagging in and out like they are the Fantastics. Andre still removing the cast. Orton makes the tag behind Andre’s back and Piper and Orton tie Andre to the ropes and use the cast tape to choke Andre in the ropes. Awesome strategy with the pace unglued. Andre fights back by biting Piper’s face!!!! Orndorff makes the hot tag, He is destroying both guys. Orton in the ring and Piper on the apron. While Orndorff attacks Piper, Andre just comes in and murders Orton. All 4 guys in the ring. Orton had Andre down. Tries to jump from 2nd rope and meets Andre’s boot to the face. Orndorff covers for the pin. THIS WAS FUCKING AWESOME. NONSTOP CHAOS. All 4 guys were great in this. SLAM DUNK NOMINATION. TOP TWENTY CONTENDER.
June 21Jun 21 comment_6031600 This didn't let up from the start. The heels pinballimg around, Piper bring a jerk, Andre going after the cast, Orndorff just jumping in to go after Piper or Oron, the choking with the tape and tag ropes. Easy nomination.
June 21Jun 21 comment_6031611 Amazing brawl with insane heat. Piper & Orton stooging early is awesome. Andre attacking Orton's cast & using it against him is some of the coolest & smartest wrestling you'll ever see. Andre CHOKING PIPER WITH THE TAG ROPE IS UNREAL. Tremendous stuff. Orndorff is such an underrated babyface. He just oozes charisma. Piper getting a receipt by choking the life out of Andre is great. Andre flailing his arms on his comeback like a wounded animal with cast tape hanging off of him is a wonderful visual. AWESOME finish too with Orton eating Andre's foot off the top rope leap. Great, great match. SLAM DUNK NOMINATION
