Posted September 9, 201411 yr comment_5623575 This might be the best match in the feud. Muraco is in the ring 1st while Steamboat is being announcedhe is running up the ramp to get his revenge from the hanging angle. Steamboat is all over Muraco with chops, strikes, and dropkicks. Muraco is bumping and flayling for Steamer. Muraco tries to escape and Steamboat climbs the middle of the top rope and comes down with a chop.Steamboat even leap frogs the ref to chop Muraco. Now Steamboat is focusing on Muraco's neck with clotheslines, spinning neckbreaker, chops to the neck, and he locks on a neck vice. Eventually Muraco gets the heat and beats on Steamer. Nothing to light the world on fire, but very heelish. He does some KOTM spots. Fuji gets in on the action and whacks Steamer with the cane. The hope spots were pretty great because everytime they happenned it felt the timing was right for a comeback. Finally he does make a comeback and he busts Muraco open with strikes to the forehead. Steamer is all over the cut. We're building to the finish and Steamboat is on the top rope ready for his flying body press, but Steamboat gets salt throw in his eyes for a DQ. This was a pretty good match.
June 22Jun 22 comment_6031639 RICKY STEAMBOAT vs DON MURACO (08/18/1985; WWF Maple Leaf Gardens; 00:16:14) - Steamboat is in a full Gi and uses his karate black belt to choke Muraco. He is just dangling Muraco who is there helpless. Steamboat then whips Muraco with his belt before the ref takes the belt away. Damn, Steamboat is taking it to Muraco. Chop after chop to an enziguiri to a leaping chop. Steamboat is non-stop offense early on including an atomic drop to send Muraco outside. When Muraco comes back into the ring, Steamboat leap frogs over the referee to attack Muraco. I am loving this Steamboat offense. Wow, there is a great pin kick out from Muraco where he kicks out but nails Steamboat in the balls by thrusting his arm as he kicks out. That was pretty damn awesome. He follows up after recovering with a falling headbutt t the nuts, or lower abs if you will. FUCK. Muraco is more methodical with his offense but nails Steamboat with the evil thumb from the 2nd rope. This is followed by a stiff knee drop and another evil thumb. Muraco throws Steamboat over the top rope and Steamboat is beat. Muraco plays king of the mountain and finally lets him with a slingshot over the rope. Muraco goes for the Tombstone but Ricky crashes the cymbals with his legs and rings Muraco’s bell. I had to rewind it to see it. Damn!!!! This has been a war. Ricky dodges an evil thumb and lands a stiff clothesline. HE picks up for a slam but Muraco falls on him for a 2 count. Steamboat fighting back with his martial arts expertise. This entire match ahs been exciting and now Muraco is bleeding and Stemaboat is karate chopping the cut… EIGHT TIMES! Mr. Fuji was on the outside, Steamboat his another enziguiri and Muraco runs right into Fuji. Steamboat goes to the top for a flying body press but Fuji throws salt in Ricky’s eyes for the DQ. This was AWESOME… and I hate this feud. EASY NOMINATION.
