Randy Savage vs. Jimmy Snuka (SNME 10/14/89)

-          WE NEED THE CORONATION OF MACHO MAN 9/30/89. EXTRA.

-          Macho Man Interview / Jimmy Snuka Interview.

-          Snuka jumps the trop rope and Macho attacks. Snuka gets a big chop but Sherri distracts but Snuka gives a back kick and then a running headbutt. Atomic drop sends Savage outside. This has been pretty fun so far. This is like Snuka’s personal crusade against imperialism in one match. Sherri holds on to Snuka while Savage ambushes him. Macho and Sherri are such a great act together. Outside Sherri is kicking Snuka in the gut repeatedly… then choking him on the apron. Now Macho is choking him with his boot. I have seen Snuka matches from this period and he is horrible. But in this match, Macho and Sherri worked so much, Snuka could do his shtick and not fuck things up. He even did a sweet clothesline with Macho coming out of the corner. The referee is trying to ruin my good vibes. As Snuka is occupied with the ref, Macho gets the purse, hits Snuka in the ribs and school boys him for three. This won’t make the set but was far better than I thought it would be and  I would rather watch this than the Hogan-DiBiase match. LOW END NOMINATION just to have a late Snuka match that doesn’t suck on record. Even the post-match with Sherri saving Macho from the Superfly Splash was fun.
