Posted June 24Jun 24 comment_6031758 TERRY FUNK vs JUNKYARD DOG (02/08/1986; WWF Philadelphia Spectrum; 00:19:09) - Ok, Terry Funk starts shadow boxing with JYD and JYD just punches him in the face then headbutts him out of the ring. Outside the ring, Funk and Jimmy Hart are hugging when Dog just headbutts Jimmy in the back and sends both heels in to the announce table. Funk does the solo run the ropes spot and added a twist. He asks JYD to run the ropes also and keeps moving as JYD just stares at him. Funk is crazy. Funk threatens to leave but once inside, he gets thrown on the corner ropes. JYD punches him off the top and he is sitting on the middle rope getting punched. Next, Dog rams Terry into each corner (I think he did this in the Toronto match also). Trick knee takes Dog down. Dog is thrown outside and this time, Funk hits him with the branding iron (IN Toronto, Dog hit the steel railing). Dog is back in the ring and we get the same spot from Toronto where Funk chokes him with the tape and then goes into his sleeper. Dog breaks out this time with a back suplex and a small package for two. Terry Funk hits a piledriver for two. Another piledriver attempt and Funk takes his wild outside bump. Funk is rammed into the ring post. Outside, Dog fights Funk off with headbutts and chokes him on the apron. Dog chases after Jimmy Hart and Funk gets in the way and gets a headbutt then the chase resumes. AWESOME! Back in the ring, the ref tells Jimmy to get out of the ring. Funk swings and misses with the branding iron. JYD gets the small package for three. JYD gets his hands on Hart but Funk attacks from behind and gets the branding iron and brands Funk. Another awesome match between these two. There were a couple of the same spots but this was almost an entirely different match. GREAT FEUD! EASY NOMINATION.
