Posted November 23, 200717 yr comment_5424405 First match has an especially preposterous Boyd Pierce suit. Doc Death/Hercules Hernandez v Brickhouse Josh Stroud: For some reason this was layed out with Hercules doing the bulk of the work for his team. And most of this seemed to be the erc v Stroud matchup. Hercules almost spikes Stroud with a bodyslam. Brickhouse with cool second rope headbutt to win. Nord v Terry Daniels Did someone give the road agent drugs? They booked a tag match with Hercules Hernandez doing the bulk of the work and they booked John Nord to give someone a brainbuster. Who thought that was a good idea? Nord v Parsons JIP Butch Reed v JYD street fight clipped up DWB squash JIP Terry Gordy and Michaels Hayes v Tommy Wright and Terry Latham This is the youngest I've ever seen the Freebirds and I don't know how old this was. Really competitive almost even. Fun Terry Latham. Gordy wins with a rolling short arm scissors. Lots of Terry Taylor clips. Road Warriors v Brad Armstrong & Terry Taylor Bill Watts talking about Roadwarriors sadism says that they're deranged and "it might be the steroid effect". He also talks about how the Road Warriors are so rude that they failed to acknowledge Jerry Clower in the airport. Bill Watts commentary amusing match it self is shitty with lots of really obvious spot calling. Long back and forth coversational spot calling. Kevin Von Erich v Chris Adams. I'm nominating this for set. The one problem with this match is that it is short. If it gets on it will be the shortest match on the set. but it is super sprint in Sam Houston colliseum. Lots of great superkicks. An exchange of proto-Van daminators both of which looked cool. Kevin goes after Chris with a chair only to eat the chair superkick to face. Chris goes after Kevin only to eat second rope drop kick to chair to face. Kevin gets tangled in the ropes with a superkick. Adams goes to charge bumps over top rope. Chris Adams wins with a nasty superkick to back of the head. Short spotfest but good enough spotfest to be nominated.
November 23, 200717 yr comment_5424410 That Birds match is from early 1980. I liked the KVE/Adams match a bunch but the shortness hurts it and we will have that match in loads when we get to World Class.
