Posted June 28Jun 28 comment_6031925 HART FOUNDATION vs IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (08/09/1986; WWF Boston Garden; 00:10:58) - Hart Foundation ambush the foreigners during the Russian National Anthem and the Harts are getting huge cheers. Back inside, Volkoff gets 2 shoulder blocks and does a cartwheel. Bret responds with a dropkick to a big pop. Sheik swings at Bret and goes tumbling over the top rope. Bret is held by Nikolai on the outside. Sheik runs and hit a big boot but it hits Nikolai and Sheik is tangled in the ropes. Bret tries a 2nd rope elbow but Nikolai grabs him from the apron. Sheik is able to clothesline Bret and then a double throat thrust and Sheik spits on Bret. Bret is the Hart in peril. Bret gets a sunset flip to a big pop but the ref is distracted. Bret wish some hope but Sheik gets a gutwrench to set up the camel clutch on Bret. HUGE USA CHANT… for Bret. Anvil breaks up the camel clutch. Bret gets a suplex counter and gets the hot tag. Anvil dropkicks Sheik but Sheik gets a tag to Nikolai. Anvil is on fire with another drop kick for a huge pop. Anvil picks Nikolai up for the slam but Sheik sweeps the leg on the outside. Volkoff gets the three on Anvil. I really liked this match a lot. Bret was a great face in peril… as a heel. Anvil had a great babyface final stretch… as a heel. They should have turned the Harts much sooner because the crowd was feeling them. SOLID NOMINATION.
