Posted July 3Jul 3 comment_6032154 Ted DiBiase vs. Hercules (MSG 11/26/88) - DiBiase ambushes right away. Hercules responds with the big back body drop and some nice punches. More punches from Hercules and Ted bails again. Hercules gives chase but gets caught by Ted on the inside. Ted with the sweet punches in the corner. Nasty chop too. If these dudes do nothing but punch each other and slam the heads in the turnbuckle, I will be happy. Herc unloading punches on Ted’s face. Ted rakes the eyes to stop. Hercules can‘t see and Ted tosses him out. Back inside, Hercules misses an elbow drop and Ted keeps dropping falling fists on his head. After a suplex, Ted slaps Hercules around. He misses his falling back elbow and Hercules punching Teds face again. Damn, Hercules knee lift looked nice and the clotheslines usually look sweet but were so-so. The powerslam was awesome. Now Hercules slaps Ted in the face and the crowd erupts. Hercules with the full nelson. Ted gets the ropes and DiBiase kicks off and the ref is knocked down. TORTURE RACK. No ref. Virgil comes off the top and Hercules unloads on him. He turns to Ted and Ted knocks Hercules out. Three count. DiBiase stuffs cash in Herc’s mouth. Virgil gets the chain and wraps it on his fist. Hercules kicks him away and knocks DiBiase off. Herc grabs the chain and chases after Ted. The crowd was going wild for Hercules! This was a fight. The only component missing was blood. Nothing fancy, no rest holds. Just 2 dudes punching each other in the face for ten minutes. EASY NOMINATION.
