Posted July 4Jul 4 comment_6032202 Ricky Steamboat vs. Ron Bass (WWF Rochester TV taping 10/28/87) - Ricky with a top rope chop to send bass to regroup. Bass punches Ricky while outside and comes in and ends a struggle with a nice clothesline. Big powerslam for two. Steamboat O’Connor Roll for two. Bass kicks Steamer in the corner but misses a charge and Steamboat gets two. Ricky bodyslam attempt gets two for Bass as he falls on top. Bass swinging neck-breaker attempt blocked into a backslide for two. Great back and forth action and these two are going all out. Both guys on their knees slugging it out. Big headbutt gives Bass the advantage. Bass swings at Steamer and misses and Ricky hooks on the sleeper but Bass rams Ricky head first into the corner. Neither guy can control the other. Great move where Steamboat flips Bass over the ropes after skinning the cat. Both guys outside and Ricky chops Bass but Bass grabs Ricky’s arm and rams him in the post. Bass goes for a running battering ram but Steamer reverses it and rams Bass in the post. They continue fighting after the bell rang. Ricky won by count out. This didn’t have any rest but it also was just two guys trading moves... in the most fun way possible. MIDDLE NOMINATION.
