Posted July 4Jul 4 comment_6032218 Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage vs. Andre the Giant & Ted DiBiase (13:57) (Summerslam 8/29/88) - Mega Powers Interview / Bobby Heenan Interview / Jesse Ventura Interview / Feud Recap - Jesse Ventura is the guest referee. Savage in first and he was quickly abused by Andre. Ted comes in so Macho tags Hulk. Ted and Macho working over Ted. Liz distracts Jesse so Andre abuses Hogan and Macho. Andre just sits on Hogan and steps on him with his huge foot. Andre chokes the life out of Hogan. Ted comes in and hooks in the chin lock. Good for het… but not for my entertainment. Ted bumps like a pinball for the Macho offense, slingshot clothesline, Ax handle. Cross body for two but Ted catches him with a clothesline. Tag to Andre. Andre crushes Macho in the corner. Fuck… he just sits on his face in the corner. Ted tags in and punished him but misses a 2nd rope back elbow and Macho gets the tag to Hogan. Crowd going wild when Hogan hits Andre with the ax bomber. Macho tried an elbow on Andre but was met with the big boot. Hogan had a sleeper on Ted and then was attacked by Andre. Liz distracts the heels and Jesse by stripping off her dress. Hogan and Savage do the handshake of power and get back in the ring. Macho ax handle sends Andre outside. Savage with the elbow on DiBiase with the leg drop for the pin. Crowd loved the finish and is going wild. This was sloppy but it was also fun to watch… even with the early rest holds. SOLID NOMINATION or STONE COLD EXTRA.
