Posted November 25, 200717 yr comment_5424501 - Robert Gibson is taken out at the start by the dreaded ether. It ends up mainly as a straight tag between the MX and Duggan/Morton. Fuck, Duggan & Moprton would have been a great big man/little man team. For all the stuff we have watched, did you guys just decide you didn't like this match or haven't watched it yet? This is a nomination although a step below the 20 minute + six-mans.
November 25, 200717 yr comment_5424504 Is this also on a House Show? And does Kris have these Power Pro's and is he sending them to me? I am finished with all the Power Pros I have
November 25, 200717 yr Author comment_5424505 These are the Power Pros that were released by Watts. I don't know who I sent them to. I just realized no one had reviewed them so I took it upon myself.
November 25, 200717 yr comment_5424506 I just got finished watching these and the Tri-States DVD and was about to write them up and was going to nominate the same two matches goodhelmet ended up nominating and then was going to bitch about why they only showed the end of Hector v Lothario but gave me Magnum v Krushev from bell to bell. More Mid-South I watch the more I think Nikita was criminally underrated. As he has a really bad rap but so clearly the best 80s Russian not named Ivan.
November 25, 200717 yr Author comment_5424507 This is from House Show 31 and this is what Kris said... Handicap Match: Hacksaw Duggan & Ricky Morton vs. The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton) & Jim Cornette (Summer 1984) Robert Gibson got jumped before the match so he was unable to compete making this a handicap match. This match was all about the MX getting their ass kicked and Cornette not getting his kicked. MX bump like maniacs here especially for Duggan’s punches which were great. Crowd was super hot for the face in peril sections. Eaton broke out a nice one-arm DDT on Duggan to which they continued to work on the arm for a while. MX did a great job of keeping Duggan in their part of the ring and Corny got to get his shots in also. Duggan got the hot tag to Morton after a double clothesline and he went nuts on the MX and the match turned into a brawl. Gibson came back out to chase Corny around the ring and in this confusion, Condrey threw the tennis racket to Eaton who smashed Morton with it for the pin. This was a fun little match but there will be more from these guys that will be better.
November 26, 200717 yr comment_5424533 This felt cuspish to me, I loved Eaton bumping around, and Duggan was fun, still very little Ricky Morton and Duggan never really got his hands on Cornette. If this makes the set it will be the least of the MX v. R+R's on the set. So advance it for now, but I could see this going in the first round of cuts
