Posted September 8Sep 8 comment_6034102 Jumping Bomb Angels vs. Glamour Girls (Philly 1/9/88) (RICHARD LAND) Both teams play their parts to perfection. The Glamours could be nasty (yanking an Angel from the rope) or stooging it up and selling all of the great Angel offense. Fun stereo offense and submission holds. A missed senton in the Angel corner allows the Glamours to take control. Solid work by the Glamours in control but the crowd got quiet when they were in control. This was definitely more methodical and nice holds between the two teams. GREAT COUNTER where an Angel just grabbed Martin and threw her face first from the 2nd rope to the mat. Then there was an AMAZING sunset flip counter pin that the ref missed. A double noggin knocker allowed for the hot tag and the crowd loves it. Cleaning house. The Angels try to put Martin away for some near falls. All 4 women in the ring, The ref is distracted and Martin gets the pin with the gourdbuster. Great match. EASY NOMINATION and one of the better ones from the series.
September 13Sep 13 comment_6034219 Not the type of match I would think of when I hear JBA vs. Glamour Girls but this was quite the showcase of mixing in holds and counters with segments that are more in line with the action you would exepct from these two teams. This is porbably the most unique match these teams had agaisnt each other and it's a Strong nominaiton from me. I have a feelign when we do the rivalry review to see what gets cut, this one is so unique that it'll easily make it through.
