UWF TV Title: Savannah Jack © vs. Buddy Roberts (12/7/86)

This is the big rematch and is a pretty fun match with Buddy carrying Jack. Buddy takes a great bump for the Superkick as he went over the top rope to the floor. Hayes comes out with the paper sack featuring the Freebird Haircream as Roberts gets counted out.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) & The Missing Link vs. Hot Stuff International (“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert, Rick Steiner, & Sting) (12/7/86)

This of course is a brawl at the bell but it would break down into a regular match but not for long. This would continue as TV time runs out.

“Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Angel of Death (12/14/86)

We got some big dudes going at it here. This was all-action for the couple of minutes while it lasted with Doc getting the Stampede for the win. Hayes throws powder in Doc’s eyes as TV time runs out.

“Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert & Sting vs. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) (1/4/87)

Damn does Tulsa love the Fants. Fants look awesome to start the match with great teamwork and the heels do a great job in selling and bumping for them. The heels get the advantage on Fulton working on his back and Fulton tries to make a spirited comeback but Gilbert cuts him off. Rogers gets the hot tag and looks awesome when all of a sudden Terry Gordy shows up and slams Fulton into the ringpost then attacks Rogers in the ring giving him a piledriver. Dr. Death then runs out as Gordy just walks out of the ring putting his jacket back on. The match was lots of fun and the angle afterwards was nice too.

UWF Tag Titles: Hacksaw Duggan & Terry Taylor © vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Buddy Roberts) (1/4/87)

Hayes mentions on commentary that this is the first time the Birds are going for the UWF Tag Titles, which is wrong but who cares. Eli the Eliminator & Wild Bill Irwin jump the champs on their way to the ring and OMG follows with a table which they run the champs’ head into. Duggan tries to fight back but Devastation Inc. continues to pound on them. Jeff Raitz & Gary Young tries to help but they get thrown aside as the beatdown continues with Duggan juicing. DiBiase & Savannah Jack then run off the heels. Michael Hayes comes to the ring and demands that the Birds receive the titles since they champs can’t wrestle and Gordy got his title stripped from him because he couldn’t wrestle. Ken Mantell finally shows up and basically tells the Birds to go fuck themselves. Hayes is demanding the champs come out but they get DiBiase & Doc instead, which sends the Birds running to the floor.

Rick Steiner & Sting vs. Jeff Raitz & Gary Young (1/4/87)

Steiner & Sting look awesome.

UWF TV Title: Savannah Jack © vs. Michael “PS” Hayes (1/4/87)

Hayes jumps Jack at the bell and the Birds follow so this is another non-match. Iceman, Link, & Chavo run off the Birds this time after 9 diving elbow smashes. Hayes grabs the UWF TV Title belt and walks out.

Lumberjack Match: Dark Journey vs. Missy Hyatt (1/4/87)

Missy comes out with a huge pillow and Steiner/Sting hold it up for her broken thumb. Gilbert & Missy do a tremendous job here of explaining the injury. DJ wins the match by forfeit and as Steiner/Sting jump the Link, they hold up DJ for a loaded purse shot but Iceman runs in and DJ nails Missy with the loaded purse. Gilbert carries Missy out of the arena.

Ted DiBiase vs. Ken Massey (1/4/87)

DiBiase makes his return after being “injured” by the One Man Gang, damn those tours of All-Japan always got DiBiase injured. DiBiase calls out Akbar & OMG after the match and they oblige leading to a wild brawl. DiBiase juices over his right eye and Gang keeps pounding on him but Gang missed his 747 splash and DiBiase pinned him to prove he could beat the champ.

Hacksaw Duggan & Terry Taylor vs. Mike George & Jack Victory (12/27/86)

The new champs look good.

#1 Contender Match for the UWF Heavyweight Title: “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Terry “Bamm Bamm” Gordy (12/27/86)

This goes to the floor at the start as both men just pound each other before going back to the ring for the match to start. This is another one in their series of hard hitting battles with Gordy throwing bombs and Doc taking them and following up with his own. Gordy starts to weaken Doc by working on his back with various moves and a bearhug. Gordy would take it back to the floor where he would throw Doc into the security railing then back to the ring with the bearhug. Doc would make his comeback taking Gordy to the floor and sending him into the railing. Doc brings it back to the ring throwing bombs and hitting a football tackle but misses a spear as Gordy sends him to the floor. They pound on each other for a double countout but that doesn’t faze them as they keep going at it with Doc being busted open. Gordy would hit a piledriver on Doc once back in the ring and Doc is juicing heavily. Gordy keeps pounding on Doc as the locker room tries to make the save but Doc makes a comeback and hits the Oklahoma Stampede before Doc starts beating on Mike George & Jack Victory as they run in. Doc & Gordy won’t quit fighting each other and they have to be held back. This was an awesome spectacle as everything was great. Definite nomination.

Badstreet Match: Ted DiBiase & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy & Michael Hayes) (1/24/87)

This is what you would expect from this type of match as it has hard-hitting action and blood. Gordy just murders DiBiase with a backdrop suplex. Doc juicing off the cowboy boot shot was great. The face locker room having to come out was great too. Fantastic stuff and a definite pick.
